Thursday, while Jennifer and Jessica were travelling to Kyle of Lochalsh by train, John, after depositing them at the train station, spent the day in the library at Highland Theological College. John was doing some research and reading on the Lord's Supper. (Highland was recently given the right to be recognised as one of the training institutes of the Church of Scotland.) Bill Van Doodewaard was at HTC for the day so they had lunch together. 
On Stephen's six month milestone Joshua and John spent the day at the Royal Highland Show near Edinburgh. The show is a cross between the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and the International Plowing Match. Lucy remained with the girls and the rest of the children in Tain, taking in the evening bagpipers at the town hall.
Today it is raining again. Tomorrow John is scheduled to preach in the Hilton and Tain congregations.
