The Lord's Day, 4th June 2006
Our family does get to stay in the manse of the Associated Presbyterian Church in Tain but I am asked to do a "wee bit of preaching". So, a wee bit of preaching I did.
I preached in the building to the left. It was built in 1838 and though it looks like a wee building it can seat 250 people. It didn't seat that many last Lord's Day, morning or evening. Besides our family there were perhaps 15 in the morning and 12 in the evening. It is a sad situation here in Tain, spiritually speaking.
Next week, the Lord willing, I will be preaching in the yoked charge to Tain, in Hilton, which is about 15 minutes away. The group there is larger, though not by much.
