Wednesday, 04 October 2006, Geddie and other scenes

Whenever I go to the Island, I invariably stop at this Church, the Geddie Memorial Church. John Geddie worked in the same area as John Gibson Paton, one of my heroes. It was great to take Joshua there.

We thought that it would be unconscionable to fail to take a picture of the birthplace of Lucy Maud Montgomery, the author of Anne of Green Gables, for Kristiana who is having the book read to her.
After viewing some more lovely Island scenes we returned to Moncton, NB, glad that we could see another one of Canada's ten provinces.

John,

I am sorry that you did not take and publish a photo of the text of Mr. Geddie's farwell address to the congregation, since my attempt failed.

Perhaps next time?

Albert.
