There was a surprise awaiting us when we got home from the 11:30 service on Sunday, 15th August. Jessika, her boyfriend Johan, and Joshua all went with John to the 10:00 service in Hilton. (You may not know that John is senior pastor of a multicampus church here in Scotland (-: and preaches three times on a Sunday.) Since it was our anniversary they had a fabulous dinner for two prepared. As you can see, they lit the fire, and made a special table in the sitting room. We had chicken legs, sausage, my favourite Jarlsburg cheese, garlic bread, mixed nuts, and wine for the starter. We then were asked how we wanted our steak barbequed. It was done to perfection and served with stuffed mushrooms, fried potatoes, and bbq peppers. To top it off, Joshua came in with dessert and a torch. He had found a recipe online and made Creme Brulee. With a few helpful hints from his chef friend Jason Ross he did a swell job!!! It sure was a special treat!!!
After the evening service we took Jessika and Johan to Portmahomack to see the lighthouse.

AWWWWH!! So much to catch up on! What a wonderful anniversary - what thoughtful kids!! i love seeing pics of them b/c I miss them. btw, you commented on my book (thanks :) ) but my only regret about my pictures from our visit with you is that I didn't have any pics of Josh!! Too bad he didn't come to the bothy with us. :(
