Breaking News! Once Again

Talk about family breakdown! Yesterday Kristiana broke her left tibia while sledging. Daddy was able to identify with his wee daughter having done the same break a couple of years ago.

We drove to Inverness Hospital where Kristiana received outstanding (pardon the pun) attention. She was cared for by a Canadian who formerly attended the FRC in London. Imagine that! After 13 years in Scotland we wouldn't have guessed from her accent that she was Canadian. Our accent was what prompted the conversation that revealed that our families knew one another.

Kristiana was in great spirits, only rarely feeling blue. She was able to cast off those moments and was a delightful patient. We are thankful Kristiana didn't need surgery.

After an overnight stay John picked Lucy and Kristiana up in time for Lucy's birthday dinner, prepared by Jennifer, and birthday cake, baked by Oma. It isn't old age that Lucy is suffering from; she is just tired from her 'sleep' in the hospital.

"It's a small world after all!" That nurse & I went to Sunday School for a few years growing up then met again in the London FRC! We wish Kristiana the best and hope she heals quickly and well so she can dance again! Geraldine

Oh Kree-girl that is rotten! Hope you are up and around again soon!

Lucy, I tried to call for your birthday... but missed you. Hope you enjoy your birthday boxing day better than your birthday must have been! Happy Birthday! We missed brunch today :(

Oh, Kree! It's too bad you broke your leg! We didn't know you could go sledding and get something worse than a black eye. We hope you get better soon!

So sorry to hear about Kristiana's tibia! Andrea McCabe told us today as she was here to visit. How could a canadian sledding get hurt? Hope you are better really soon...so good to know that the Lord will use it for good.
