Abiel Charissa 02/11/07

We are thankful to our heavenly Father for the latest addition to our family. Abiel Charissa was born on Friday, November 2, 2007. Abiel means "God is my Father" and Charissa means "Grace". Our prayer is that by God's grace Abiel's name would be her confession. We found it quite interesting that Abiel's birthdate, 02/11/07, is Lucy's birthdate, 11/02/70, rearranged.
Abiel was two weeks overdue which explains the numbers below. Lucy had to be induced, or, as someone asked, "Was Lucy introduced?"
Aaron and Ashley, John's nephew and niece, cheerfully took our children to their two bedroom apartment for the weekend. When they arrived at the hospital with all the children to be introduced to their sister, Stephen, our previous baby, ran to Lucy and cuddled.

Lucy came home on Sunday evening. Oma van Eyk will be here a couple of days and then the Church will provide meals for the next week or so.

Congratulations! What a beautiful family you have. It seems like yesterday when we met in Philadelphia and had so much fun together. We had our four kids and you had none. Now you are in the busy time with five kids and our kids are grown and away from home. Time goes fast. It's wonderful to see how the Lord has blessed you. Thank you for sharing your news with us.

Abiel already has the baby chubbers. She was being well fed. We are all thankful for this little girl, and Lucy's good health. God is good!

WOW! What a blessing to have another precious little one added to your family...or should I say big one. Emmy weighed in at exactly the same weight - only she was a few days early. We praise the Lord with you for the safe and healthy arrival of Abiel.
Love in Christ, the VB van Eyks

Give our love to the rest of the family and to Oma.
