Family Bible Conference/Partial Family Reunion, July 23-26

Last month we spent a week with John's mother and 4 of his 6 siblings at the ARP Family Bible Conference in Flat Rock, NC. The speakers were Dr. Mark Ross and Dr. John Currid who spoke on 1 Peter 2:9-10 and some themes in Genesis, respectively. It was a delight to be together and to be edified by the opening up of the Scriptures.

Here is a picture of mom with her 3 preacher sons or, as Mom's friend would say, "Here is a picture of the four van Eyk preachers." Arie, ministering in Greensboro, NC, is on the left and Bernie, ministering in Stuart, FL, on the right.

The children had a fantastic time as well. Joshua loved playing with his cousins doing a variety of things, including engaging in an Air Soft war. Kristiana participated in her class which included crafts and swimming, and Micaiah loved having Sunday School every day.

Joshua climbed this 25 foot pole and . . . , well, you can see for yourself what he did. (Thanks Marlene for the pictures.)

After the Thursday evening worship service we headed home, driving through the night and arriving in Cambridge at 12:00 noon.

Looks like Josh was having fun. It took a lot of courage for that!

Great to see some pictures from the week. It was nice to see familiar faces in the South as well.

Nice leap, Josh! I love the picture of the family, too.
