On Sarah's last weekend with us we took in the breathtaking views of northwest Scotland.
John led the communion services in Aultbea Free Church that weekend.
A few benches almost magically turned into communion tables with the release of a hinge and a flip of the back.
The weather was fantastic. That it wasn't rainy and windy was a surprise to everyone but us. The locals told us it is often rainy and windy.
The church and manse were across the road from Loch Ewe. We were delighted with the view as well as entertained by some church members who come to church in their boat. They live on a wee island nearby. At the harbour they have a little shed where they change their attire and collect their car. Sunday evening, they return.
You can see their boat if you look closely.
Our boys enjoyed the weekend with the 4 boys who lived at the manse. We had a great time getting to know the pastor and his wife. We didn't see much of the boys.
A cattle grate to keep out the sheep guards their driveway. Some skill and caution is required to walk to Church.
We were greeted the morning of our departure with the most beautiful sunrise.
